Love one, love all

Amidst the ocean of life
On its surface
From nothingness arises
the waves of its own essence
swelling into large towering columns
only to come crashing down again
while deep below
there is always ever
only a placid calm
Beneath the tumultous behavior that makes this life
this melodrama of suffering, misunderstanding, anger, attachment, fear
and a little bit of fleeting happiness
all there is
is love
We journey with one
not as a way to become further embroiled in our own basic misunderstanding
but so that we may dive to the bottom of our soul
find that calm
and resurface
with an unshakeable calm
that we may learn to love all
On its surface
From nothingness arises
the waves of its own essence
swelling into large towering columns
only to come crashing down again
while deep below
there is always ever
only a placid calm
Beneath the tumultous behavior that makes this life
this melodrama of suffering, misunderstanding, anger, attachment, fear
and a little bit of fleeting happiness
all there is
is love
We journey with one
not as a way to become further embroiled in our own basic misunderstanding
but so that we may dive to the bottom of our soul

and resurface
with an unshakeable calm
that we may learn to love all

beautiful & precious
Gratitude to the universe
as it expresses itself
in Hummingbird and Sanmugan
Temporary, fleeting moments
is all we are
temporary moments in existence
we are the wavecrest of that ocean swell
and when our lives end
we will come crashing down
to merge once again with the ocean
temporary moments in nonexistence
expressing gratitude for gratitude
the universe playing with itself
appreciating itself
in its own nature
expressed in myriad forms
Magnificent expression of the one life, the unborn, and the ultimate play!
I would be fortunate to have this on my tombstone.
And I see no reason to wait,
before putting it there.
In Gratitude!
z
Thank you Zennie,
again, gratitude at work!
the universe reflecting upon itself
Your tombstone!
Wow, you are thinking in advance!
So good when we can think this way about our own life
and death!
I just had a high tech idea for a tombstone!
Have a built in DVD player and one of those projectors
which can project onto any flat surface
and have a play button
It can be battery powered
Then anyone can press the play button
and a recording of you reading some of your own life reflections
plays and projects on a flat surface in front of the tombstone
Your ancestors can take care of your tombstone for you
hehe
Life and death are intertwined
if we miss one
we miss the entire point, don’t we?
Letting go, letting go, letting go
it’s all about letting go
letting go of knowledge
of that intuitive feeling that comes so quickly
of wanting to know
letting go of life
embracing the abyss
falling into non-life
letting go of ego
of all the knowledge this ego has accumulated
all this history, all this love
all this wisdom
all these stories!
my, how we love to tell stories!
letting go of this realm of experiences
It makes me think of that final scene in Blade Runner
when Harrison Ford’s enemy says “time to die”
and let’s go of the dove
Somehow, I’ve always found that a poignant scene
It’s the human condition
that each and every one of us must work out for ourselves
when comes our own time to die

What are we, Zennie
We are strangers? We are friends?
We were all once strangers
Once upon a time
you didn’t know any of the friends now so important in your life
you didn’t know your brothers or sisters
you didn’t even know your own mother!
Before we became friends
Hummingbird was a stranger
then she happened upon my page
and now
we are friends and partners
What are strangers
other than friends in disguise?
Aren’t we always looking for friendship?
Doesn’t each new person appear as an opportunity for friendship?
And isn’t it the sum total of obscurations
which prevents us
from being friends with EVERYONE?
Isn’t it because of our own obscurations
that we don’t want to become friends with this one
or with that one?
or that we are attracted to this one
or that one?
As we “grow” in this life
if we are not living a life of denial
we cannot help but gain more awarenesss
and we naturally remove more of our own obscurations
and as we do so
we more easily see the friends
behind the facade of strangers and enemies
What are we?
When someone elses words connect deeply with you
where do these words come from?
From another being, we say conventionally
For example, above, we speak about strangers and friends
as if they were existent objects
but tracing our logicical pathway of that statement
we find that “other being” is just a creation of mind
We see an image on the computer screen
we see the words
we see many words (especially when I am writing! hehe)
Even though we’ve not “met” the person behind the words
we infer their “existence”
We know that theoretically
that person “exists” somewhere in the world
and it would be possible to hop on a plane
and visit them
As soon as a “person” steps outside of the room
inference springs into action
we infer their existence
even though strictly speaking
they may not
They may have had an accident outside the room
and no longer exist
of course, the chances are highly unlikely
but “highly unlikely” and “exactly” are not the same
hence we live in a probabalistic world
and use inference as our crutch
to maintain continuity
to keep the story going!
when we no longer directly perceive that other living being
outside the room
From this same line of inference
you infer I exist
and I infer you exist
even though we’ve never, ever met
you could even be dead now
maybe you got a paper cut
and you discovered you cannot stop bleeding
although it is unlikely
All of life is one huge inference
one big mind game
filling in the gaps between perception
keeping the story we tell ourselves alive
And it is for nature’s marvelous and wonderous rule of continuity
that applies to all appearances in this waking dream
which makes it non haphazard
keeps all these many stories ticking like clockwork
unlike our “nighttime” dream
in which we can open the door at the end of a hallway
and on the other side step off a cloud!
or meet a stranger
and have the feeling associated with a longtime friend
aaah…but behind it too
lay nature at work
Longchempa’s universal mind
Well, these are my mornings noodly musings!
We don’t exist.
We are being lived.
No one is defective.
We are all being.
Everything is pefect as it is.
The rest… concepts
Time for Dinner!
Ben
Wonderful!
Everthing is empty
so empty
that there aren’t even things to be empty!
words have meaning and make sense
yet these too are empty
We are being lived
we don’t know
what is even going to come out of us
in the next moment
everything is unpredictable
What thought will next appear?
Which appearance will come knocking
on our perceptual doors next?
Anything that appears
does so by grace
it appears
because reality allows it to be so
these aren’t arbitrary laws of human beings
these are laws of being
Within every law
is to be found complete freedom
Within every constraint
is to found limitless motion
Everything that is bound
arises from out of this total freedom
Everything appears on its own
we appear on our own
we simply are!
Everything is perfect exactly as it is
There is not a thing to change
even when we want to change
that is perfect as it is
Even those who perpetrate injustice
play a perfect role
in inspiring those who strive for justice
to play their perfect role
As Milarepa said
when awareness finds its source
there is no need for artificial rules
truth will govern itself
from out of total freedom
When hungry
eat
When thirsty
drink
Universal teachings
are here at every moment
in our mundane lives
Whew! Wow! How Fun!
Each moment magnificent spontaneity!
Always free.
Seeking
Not Seeking
Makes no difference.
Naked Awareness.
Spaciousness unending
containing everything
where all appears
is
heaven
here and now
beyond the concepts
of
here and now.
Truth lives
trusts
all is well.
We are it.
Always have
been.
Honey We’re Home!
Deep Bow of Gratitude!
