For some reason governments are not springing into action.
yet action is long overdue.
- we see this neglect echoed in the violence and conflict
around the world
we each have to start -
loving and caring for mother earth
as she loves and cares for us
hmm…yes….this site is called Gaia! Here, we are usually preaching to the converted.
I think what is required of us is to take this information out to the 'unconverted' ;) I think most people (myself included) don't appreciate the seriousness of a situtation till they are jolted from their reaities… Its up to us to spread the message, do lots of jolting, initiate dialogue, and create meaningful public interaction! It sounds like a lot of work, but the benefits far outweigh it. Think about it - what if I started a campaign in Mumbai, where I presented 5 people with a tree each… and asked them to pay it forward? What if someone in the US started a campaign to boycott using their private vehicles for one week every 3 months, and inspired 5 people each to do the same??
Small actions, but if they gain momentum, we may just make a dent! ;)
